Today the bomb was dropped on us.
What?! no Mumbai? nope.. we're in NashikToday the bomb was dropped on us.
For two weeks, i would be living in this town called Nashik.
This place is totally different from the city of Pune which was really vibrant.
After a 5 hour journey in the super small TATA indigo. it was like a size of a Honda Jazz. But imagine squeezing 3 guys
plus 3 huge luggage without bonnet space. We only had one thing to say.. Incredible India.
We reached the Mahindra Guest house at about late in the afternoon. Our moods were already dampened by the sights of the
town. When we were brought to our rooms, i wouldnt say that i was shocked, but i had hoped for much better. Well i was hoping it would look a little like the girl's room in Delhi but oh well. The worst was when they told us there was no internet here and i think
the closest internet cafe is about 2km away.
After putting our things down, we decided to look for a good lunch to make us feel better. There were alot of shops in the streets but they
seemed to be close on sunday. We made our way to this place called College road, which was supposed to be the most happening part of the
town. There was a mall there but it was more like a mini 'giant supermart' i think thats their biggest mall there. The cinema here unlike the one in Pune only shows films in Hindi. Yup so no hope on transformers again. Its dubbed in Hindi here. Lunch wasnt so bad.
We settled on subway.
Back at the Guest House. We interacted with some of the residents staying here. They were Indian graduates starting their jobs at Mahindra. They told us that Mahindra usually does not pay their interns if they are provided with accomodations. That is bad.
Now im really looking forward to getting out of this place. Luckily we're only staying here for 2 wks.
OH ya the toilets has no lights
